½ cup Shortening or Margarine (softened)
1 cup Sugar
1 Egg
1 cup Flour, sifted
1 Tbsp. Baking Powder
½ tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Cinnamon
½ tsp. Cloves
½ tsp. Nutmeg
1 cup Applesauce
1 cup Raisins
1 ¾ cups Quick Rolled Oats
Directions:
Directions:
Beat fat and sugar together until creamy.

Beat in egg.

Combine and thoroughly mix all dry ingredients except rolled oats.

Stir into creamy mixture until blended. Stir in applesauce. Stir in raisins and rolled oats.

Drop by teaspoonful onto greased baking sheets.

Bake at 375º for about 15 minutes or until lightly brown.
