1 pkg. chocolate cake mix
1/2 cup shortening
1 tbs. water
2 eggs
powdered sugar
48 creme filled mints (York mints; 1 1/2 bags per recipe)

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375.
Lightly grease cookie sheets (I use wax paper instead).
In large bowl, combine cake mix, shortening, water, and eggs; mix well by hand.
Form dough into 1" balls; roll in powdered sugar. Place 2" apart on prepared cookie sheets.
Bake at 375 for 7-10 minutes or until edges are set. Immediately place a creme-filled mint in center of each cookie, pressing down lightly. Remove from cookie sheets; cool completely.
