Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 pkg. yeast
1 c. warm water
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 c. scalded milk
6 Tbsp. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
3 eggs

Frosting:

2 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
dash of salt
Powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix yeast water and sugar in a small dish let rise to get bubbly. In large mixer mix milk, shortening, sugar, salt and eggs; add yeast mixture and flour. Do NOT knead to keep dough tender. Let rise; punch down and roll out on counter to a rectangle. Spread with soft butter, sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon and 3/4 c. chopped nuts. Roll up into a log and slice with sharp knife or piece of dental floss. Place on a greased cookie sheet 3 inches apart; let rise. Bake 10-12 minutes at 375º until browned. Let cool a bit and then frost.

Frosting: melt butter in microwave proof bowl, add other ingredients stirring well. Frosting can be thick and creamy or thin to make a glaze. Janice always added maple flavoring instead of vanilla for a different flavor. It's good!
