1/2 cup butter
2 tsp. salt
3/4 cup sugar
2 pkg. yeast (dry active)
1/2 cup shortening (butter)
7 1/2 cup flour
3 lg. eggs
1 c. boiling water
1 c. cold water

Directions:
Directions:
Early in the day or the night before:

1. In large bowl, combine all butter, salt, 3/4 c. sugar. Pour 1 c. boiling water over mixture and stir till blended.
2. To this mix add eggs, 1 c. cold water, flour & yeast. Mix well - dough will be sticky. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate 6 hours or overnight.

Then:
3. About 1 1/2 hours before you want them ready:
Remove dough from fridge. Melt 4Tbsp. butter. Divide dough into 4 equal parts. Roll each piece into 11" circle. Brush with melted butter. Cut into 16 wedges and roll from wide end. Place on greased cookie sheet. Let rise till double (approx. 1/2 hour). Bake at 375º, 15 - 20 minutes or till lightly browned.
