¾ c. sugar
3-5 tbsp. cocoa powder
5 tbsp. flour
2 c. milk
2 eggs beaten
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine in saucepan - sugar, cocoa, and flour. Gradually add milk to sugar mixture. Cook to a boil-stirring often. Add small amount of hot liquid to beaten eggs (stir). Add the egg mixture to the boiling mix. Cook for several minutes (stirring). Remove from heat. Add butter and vanilla. Cool in a sink of ice water. (Cover with plastic wrap to prevent skimming over). Beat before filling a baked pie shell. Cover again with plastic wrap and chill for several hours. Top with whipped cream. *To make vanilla cream-omit cocoa powder. Can use this for banana or coconut cream pie.
