3 c. flour
¼ c. plus 2 tbsp. sugar
¾ c. margarine (soft)
¾ tsp. salt
FILLING:
4 eggs slightly beaten
1½ c. sugar
1½ c. syrup (light or dark)
3 tbsp. margarine (melted)
1½ tsp. vanilla
2½ c. chopped pecans

Directions:

Heat oven to 350º. Grease jelly roll pan 15½x10½x1". Beat flour, sugar, margarine, and salt in large bowl on medium speed until crumbly (mixture will be dry). Press in pan. Bake till golden brown 20 minutes. Prepare filling. Pour over baked layer, spread evenly. Bake until filling is set about 25 minutes. Cool-cut into squares. FILLING: Mix all ingredients except pecans - until well blended. Stir in pecans.
