1 box Sour Cream White Cake Mix

Pineapple Filling
1/2 cup sugar
3 T cornstarch (level)
1/2 tsp salt
1 large can crushed pineapple or 2 small cans, juice and all

Butter Cream Icing Decorator Frosting
1-1/2 cups shortening (let become pliable)
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup water
1 tsp vanilla
9 cups sifted powdered sugar

Cake:
Mix according to package directions.

Filling:
Mix together sugar, cornstarch and salt. Add pineapple and cook until thick, stirring constantly.

Icing:
Mix ingredients together in large bowl.
Beat until all lumps are out and then add:1/2 cup butter (let become pliable).
Continue beating until icing is fairly light and fluffy.
Hot weather, use less water. Cold weather, use more water.
