Cinnamon Buns Recipe

2 T yeast
2½ cups milk, scalded
½ cup sugar
½ cup margarine
2 tsp salt
1 egg, beaten
6 - 7 cups flour
Brown sugar
Cinnamon

Icing:
2 cups icing sugar
2 T butter or margarine, softened
1 tsp vanilla
1 T milk

1. Scald milk, add sugar, salt and margarine. Cool to luke warm

2. Put milk mixture in a large bowl, add beaten egg and 1 cup flour to which the yeast has been added

3. Mix until blended

4. Add flour and knead until smooth and soft

5. Grease a large bowl, add the dough, cover with a towel and let rise until at least double in size.

6. Punch down and roll into a rectangle approx. ¼ - ½ inch thick

7. Spread with softened margarine, sprinkle with quite a bit of brown sugar and cinnamon

8. Roll up into a log and cut into approx. 2 inch slices

9. Place in buttered pan

10. Cover and let rise until double in size

11. Bake at 350º until done... approx.20 - 25 minutes

Icing:
1. Mix the icing sugar, margarine and vanilla together

2. Adding ½ the milk to start, stir in to make a thick glaze... adding just a drop more at a time until you get a nice thick paste

3. Spread or pour immediately over cooled cinnamon rolls
