Peach Cobbler Recipe

1 T butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1-1/2 tsp baking powder
2/3 cup milk
1 large can peaches (# 2-1/2 can)

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in a 9-inch square Pyrex dish.
Make batter in a bowl: sugar, flour, baking powder, milk
Pour batter into baking dish in which butter has been melted. Do NOT stir!
Pour drained peaches over batter. Sprinkle top with 1/2 cup sugar, do NOT stir!
Bake at 350º about 45 minutes or until well browned and glazed on top.
Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream on top.
Fresh fruits can also be used as well as a variety of canned fruits.
