1 # ground round
3½ C water
2 C green cabbage, coarsely chopped
1 C carrot, sliced
½ C celery, sliced
½ C onion, chopped
½ t dill, dried
½ t oregano, dried
½ t basil, dried
½ t pepper
3 10.5 oz. can beef consomme', undiluted
2 14.5 oz. can tomatoes, diced and undrained
½ C converted rice, uncooked

Directions:
Directions:
Brown meat and drain.
Place in crock pot (4 qt.).
Stir in water and next 10 ingredients.
Cover.
Cook on low heat for 8 hours.
Increase heat setting to high, stir in rice.
Cover and cook an additional 30 minutes.
