1 cup sugar
½ lb. butter
¼ cup water
½ cup chopped almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, water, and butter. Cover and bring slowly to boiling point. Remove cover and stir occasionally. Add chopped almonds. Stir constantly as the mixture cooks down. Cook until it darkens somewhat and begins to smoke. Pour out on a buttered cookie sheet. Cool. When cool, top with ½ lb. milk chocolate in a double boiler. Do not let the water boil. When melted, stir until cool. Spread over crunch and sprinkle with 1 cup ground pecans. Let it sit until completely cold. Then break into pieces.
