¾ c. shortening
1½ c. brown sugar
2 well-beaten eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1½ tsp. grated orange rind
¾ c. nut meats
½ c. sour milk
1½ tsp. baking powder
3 c. flour
½ tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
DRIZZLE:
1½ tsp. grated orange rind
⅓ c. orange juice
1 c. sugar
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and brown sugar; add eggs, vanilla, rind, sour milk, and nuts. Sift dry ingredients and gradually mix in. Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet. Bake about 8 minutes at 375º. Put baked cookies on cooling rack and place rack over large pie tin. Drizzle mixture of grated orange rind, orange juice, and sugar over cookies.
