Directions:
Mix shortening and flour. Add rest of dry ingredients and then add liquid and let stand for 1 hour in room temperature. Divide dough into 2 parts. Roll one to fit a 12x8" pan if possible about 1" up the sides. Put in your apple filling, sprinkle with cinnamon and butter. Roll out the rest of dough to fit the top of filling. Put on top of filling and roll the extra dough from the sides over the top. Take a pair of scissors and snip holes about 12½" square across the whole pie. Bake at 350º for nearly 1 hour (or until it is brown). Frost with drizzler of frosting. Cut in squares.
