Crumble Mixture |

Ingredients: 1 cup Oleo
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
3 cups Oatmeal (quick)

Directions:Mix all of the crumble mixtures together thoroughly.

Chocolate mixture: |

Ingredients: |
Ingredients: 12 oz chocolate chips
1 can Eagle Brand
2 tbsp butter
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup chopped walnuts - optional

Directions: |
Directions:Melt 12 oz chocolate chips, 1 can Eagle Brand, 2 tablespoons butter, 1/2 tsp salt, and chopped walnuts on low heat, stirring often. Grease a 9x13 pan and spread 1/3 of the crumble mixture in the bottom. Then, cover the crumble mixture with the chocolate mixture. Next, sprinkle the other 2/3 crumble mixture on top of the chocolate mixture.
Bake at 350º for 25 to 30 minutes. Do not over-bake. Let cool and cut into squares to serve. |

Notes: My sweet Mama got this recipe from her wonderful friend, Marge Werning, at church. She loved to make this as a treat for our family and any holiday or family get together, she made a batch (or two) for us to enjoy. Each time she made it, she put so much joy and love into it. I have fond memories of sitting around our table after a meal enjoying these with a glass of milk and lots of conversation, laughter and much love. It brings me joy to share one her favorite dessert recipes. I hope you enjoy it and create your own memories with it.
