Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1/2 cup oil
7 cups all purpose flour
2 cups buttermilk (if you don't have buttermilk, add 1/4 cup white vinegar to 2 cups of regular milk. milk. (milk should be at room temperature).
1 T. baking powder
1 T. salt

Directions:
Directions:
First start by adding 4 tablespoons of white vinegar into 2, cups of milk. This will create buttermilk. If you prefer you can also purchase buttermilk. I make my own because I always have vinegar, and or milk. Allow to sit at least 30 minutes so the milk will start to sour. Once the milk has turned into buttermilk you can start mixing all the ingredients. ....Start by using a large bowl, and add the 7, cups of flour. Then add baking powder, salt. Mix thoroughly with hands until the two ingredients have been incorporated well into the flour. Once this is done you can start adding the buttermilk, and oil. Knead the flour well, until it comes together like bread dough. If too sticky; you can add a little more flour. Allow dough to sit covered in plastic for at least 1/2 hour. The longer it sits, the better the tortillas. Now you can begin to make small round balls, a little larger than a fifty cent piece. Once your balls are completed, allow them to sit and rest, covered in plastic for about 1/2 hour before you start to roll them out. Place on medium hot flat iron, allow to bubble slightly, and then turn, allow to cook about 1 minute before you turn it again.

Personal Notes:
This is a new recipe I copied off Facebook. What I liked about it is that the tortillas rise so beautifully. Once I learned to make them I couldn't stop making them, My only problem was that if I made them when the Niņo, babies noticed grandma was making dough, every one had to have a piece of play dough, rolling pin, a flat surface, and cookie cutters. For them the tortillas were ok, but the dough was fantastic!
