1/2 lb. Butter
1/2 lb. Oleo
8 c. Flour
2 pkgs. Yeast
1 c. Milk warm
5 Egg yolks beaten
1 t. Salt
2 T. Sugar

Filling:
1 lb. Walnuts ground
6-7 Egg whites
1 1/2 c. Sugar
1 1/2 t. Vanilla

Directions:
Mix well- cool in refrigerator at least 3 hours, preferably overnight. Roll thin on floured surface. Spread on filling. To make filling grind the walnuts. Beat the egg whites until stiff then add sugar and vanilla. Fold in the nuts. After spreading the filling on the dough cut into triangles. Fold the top of the triangle over and pinch the corners. Bake for 10-15 minutes at 350º. Roll in powdered sugar while warm.

This is one of my all time favorite cookies. Although it has hardly any sugar it is amazing. It is a traditional Christmas cookie made by one of the teachers I worked with. Audrey was an wonderful baker.
