This tender, tasty and inxepensive steak may be served hot on French bread and cold the next day for sandwiches.

1 Flank steak
⅓ cup vegetable oil
⅓ cup red wine vinegar
⅓ cup red wine
⅓ cup dark soy sauce

OR..the cheaters way, buy a bottle of maui sauce and add 1 cup of red wine!

Slash edges of steak so they don't curl up when BBQing about 1" apart over the whole steak both sides against the grain, not deep cuts just through the surface.

Combine oil, vinegar, red wine and vinegar in a 9" x 13" glass casserole dish. Put in steak and turn over and marinate over night, turning a few times during the day.

To cook, remove from marinade and bbq when the coals are hot, each side about 4 minutes or less, you want it rare inside.

Place on cutting board and slice thinly on the diagonal from the narrow end of the steak.

Make a Au Jus for your beef dip, (simple way is to buy an 'Au Jus' package from the grocery store!

Toast your french toast place beef slices on top and add sautéd onions. Make Au Jus according to package and dip away!!
