head of cabbage
3 lbs hamburger meat
2 cups cooked white rice
1 egg
1 small chopped onion
1 can tomato soup
1 can tomato juice
salt
pepper

Step 1
In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add rice and stir. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes. (save time make in microwave)

Step 2
Remove core of cabbage. Bring a large, wide pan of lightly salted water to a boil. Add cabbage and cook until softened; peel off leaves as they soften drain.

Step 3
Remove spine of the cabbage leaf. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, cooked rice, onion, egg, salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly.

Step 4
Divide the beef mixture evenly among the cabbage leaves. Roll and secure them by tucking in sides (think burrito)

Step 5
Place in casserole dish. Add tomato soup and juice (remember they will produce their own juice so leave space) Bake at 350º basting with the liquid often. till soft usually 2 hours. Slow Cooker- put in liner set on low temp for 4 hours.
