Sauce:
1 lb hamburger
1 lb. sausage
1 clove garlic, minced
1 Tbsp chopped parsley
Pinch of chili powder
1 8 oz can tomato paste and equal can of water
24 oz can of tomato sauce
9 oz can tomato paste
16 oz can chopped tomatoes
1/2 tsp each oregano, rosemary, thyme, basil
1 and 1/2 tsp salt
celery and carrot chunk or 1 Tbsp sugar to reduce acidity
1 can chopped olives

Cheeses:
3 Cups Ricotta
2 beaten eggs
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 Tbsp chopped parsley
1/2 C grated parmesan cheese
6 oz. Provolone cheese
1/2 C Romano cheese
6-8 slices Mozarello cheese slices

10 0z. lasagne noodles

Brown hamburger and sausage with garlic powder. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for one hour. Then add ricotta cheese to sauce.

Layer cooked lasagne noodles, sauce, mozarella , Romano, provolone and parmesan cheeses (only two cheeses per layer). Two layers of noodles, sauce and cheeses to a pan. Sauce is enough for 2 13x9 pans or 1 large and 1 small pan or 3 small 9x9x2.

Bear with me on this. Mom gave this to me without measurements...just ingredients. When pressured for amounts this is what she came up with. I made this 2 or 3 times before she passed away and each time I had to call her with a question and she would add another ingredient...Good luck, this tastes great.
