1 pkg. linguine or spaghetti
6 bacon strips, chopped
1 C fresh or frozen peas
2 Tab lemon juice
1½ Tsp grated lemon peel
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
2 Tab minced fresh parsley
½ C grated Parmigiano-reggiano cheese
¼ Tsp salt
¼ Tsp pepper

Additional cheese, optional

Directions:
Directions:
In large saucepan, cook pasta according to package directions.

Drain pasta, reserving water; keep pasta warm.

In the same pot, cook bacon over med heat until crisp, stirring occasionally.

Add peas, cook until just heated through.

Add pasta to pot, toss to combine.

Remove from heat, quickly stir in remaining ingredients, adding enough pasta water to create a sauce.

If desired serve with additional cheese.
