1/2 C sugar
1 T cornstarch
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
4 C sliced peaches (about 6 med)
1 tsp lemon juice
3 T butter
1 C flour
1 T sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 C milk

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 400. Mix 1/2 C sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon in 2 qt saucepan. Stir in peaches and lemon juice. Cook, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils. Boil and stir 1 min. Pour into ungreased 2 qt casserole dish. Keep peach mix hot in oven.
Cut butter into flour with 1 T sugar, baking powder, and salt until mix resembles fine crumbs. Stir in milk, drop dough by 6 spoonfuls onto hot peach mix. Bake until topping is golden brown, 25 to 30 min. Server warm with whipped cream if desired, or ice cream.
