1½ cups brown sugar
⅔ cups liquid shortening
1 egg
1 cup sour milk
1½ cup rhubarb
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2½ cups flour
½ cup nuts

Topping:
½ cup sugar and 1 T. butter

Directions:
Directions:
1. Stir ingredients together in order given. Pour into 2 well greased and floured loaf pans, filling them ⅔ full.
2. Strew topping evenly over each. Bake at 325ºF for 40 minutes. Do not over bake.
