1 c sugar
1 cup butter
1 tbsp. white syrup
1 tbsp. water
Mix in heavy pan and cook to hard crack stage stirring all the time

Pour into buttered jelly roll pan

Put 1 c chocolate chips on top and spread as they melt
Put 1 c chopped pecans or other nuts on top
