Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1- (3oz) package of Jello Gelatin

1 Packet of Kool-Aid

1/2 cup sugar

2 cups of boiling water

2 cups of cold water

disposable small dixie cups

popsicle sticks

Directions:
Directions:
Combine Jello, Kool-Aid, sugar and boiling water together in a bowl or pitcher and mix well. Add cold water and stir to combine.

Using tin foil , cover each dixie cup, set the popsicle sticks in the middle by slicing a hole in the center of the foil, which will keep the sticks standing up in the center.

Fran would just pour them in the dixie cups and freeze them partially and then insert the sticks into the them.

Freeze for 4-6 hours or until solid. Remove the popsicles by letting them set on the counter for a few minutes and then slip them out but we would peel the cup off at a slant and that worked just as well.

Personal Notes:
This was a big treat for us growing up.
Mrs. Benson was an elderly lady that lived across the street from us on Stover Street and we would go over and help her clean her house or just visit. She always wore her hair in a bun and it was silver with a little white in it. She was always nice and would yell for us to come over and get a popsicle on a hot summer day. She made different flavors but Cherry was my favorite.
No one else ever made these.
