9 lasagna noodles
1 lb ground beef, browned
1 onion, diced
1 can Hunts garlic spaghetti sauce
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 small cans sliced mushrooms, drained
6-8 serving instant mashed potatoes, prepared per recipe on box
mozzarella cheese, shredded
Directions:
Directions:
Brown ground beef with onions, add spaghetti sauce, mushrooms, and cream of mushroom soup, and heat through. In the meantime cook the lasagna noodles.
Layer in 13x9 pan: 3 noodles, half the hamburger sauce, 3 noodles, mashed potatoes, 3 noodles, remaining sauce, and top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes.

I started making spaghetti and lasagna sauce with cream of mushroom soup as Doug's always had stomach problems, and the cream of mushroom soup mellows out the tomato sauce. The addition of mashed potatoes in this recipe also helped that, and make for a thicker lasagna.
