Ingredients: 1 cup Sugar 1 cup butter or margarine soften (1 stick of butter) 2 eggs 3-4 ripe bananas mashed (3 large or 4 small) 2 cups Flour 1 tsp baking soda ½ tsp salt ½ cup nuts (optional) I usually leave them out. ¾ cups large chocolate chips or 1 Cup mini chocolate chips (optional)

Directions:Preheat Oven to 350
Mix sugar and butter together for 2 minutes. Then add eggs and mashed bananas.
Add flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix for about 2 minutes or until well combined.
Then add Chocolate chips and nuts.
Prepare your bread loaf pan with a non-stick baking spray.
I often will divide this into 2 medium size loaf pans. (1 to keep, 1 to share)
Bake at 350 for 1 hour for 1 large loaf. Check the center with a toothpick. Bake time will be about 50 minutes for 2 loaves. Bake time for muffins is about 20-25 minutes. |

Notes: This is my Grandma's Banana Bread Recipe. I remember her baking it when I lived with her as a little girl. She got it from her mother, Nancy Allred. My mother, Nancy Whitaker also baked this for me as I grew up, and now I bake this for my kids. It's a sentimental favorite. And it's delicious.
