1 ½ cups margarine
1 ⅛ cups granulated sugar
1 ⅛ cups brown sugar
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoon hot water
3 eggs
1 ½ teaspoons salt
1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
3 cups all-purpose flour
3 cups rolled oats, uncooked
½ cup chopped nuts
12 oz. package chocolate chips, semi-sweet

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Cream margarine, sugars, vanilla, hot after and eggs until light and fluffy. At low speed, gradually add salt, soda and flour. With spoon, mix in rolled oats. Add chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes.
