2 lbs. cubed round steak (remove all fat), brown in oil and sprinkle with flour.

In casserole, mix:
1 minced onion (medium)
1 whole cloves
1 large can mushrooms (drained)
1 (10 ½ oz) can beef consomme (not broth)
1 small can tomato sauce
1 TB Worchestershire sauce
1 tsp. salt
¼ tsp. pepper

Wide egg noodles, cooked per package directions, or rice.

1 cup sour cream

Add meat to sauce mixture. Cover and bake at 250º for 5-6 hours.

Stir in 1 cup sour cream just before serving.

Serve over rice or noodles.

Grandma Faith made this on special occasions. Always turned out great, and so good.

I made a double batch once and it turned out too runny. Perhaps make and bake separate batches. (deb)
