4 T. butter
2 c. chopped celery
2 c. chopped onion
2 c. diced carrots
6 T. flour
4 c. milk
8 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
28 oz. chicken broth
2 c. cooked wild rice
2c. cooked chicken breast pieces
small bag slivered almonds

Directions:
In a large kettle, heat butter over medium high heat until bubbly and hot. Add veggies and sauté until onion is softened. Sprinkle flour over veggies and stir quickly to combine. Continue to stir and gradually add milk. Add broth and stir, bringing to a boil. Add chicken. REduce heat to low, cover and let simmer, stirring frequently, for 20 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and cook, stirring constantly until cheese is melted, 5-10 minutes.
