2 ¼ c all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 c butter, softened
¾ c granulated sugar
¾ c brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 large eggs
2 c Nestlé's semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375º.

Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl, set aside. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in large bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually add flour to butter/egg mixture. Stir in chocolate chips (and nuts if adding.) Drop by rounded Tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake 9 - 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes, remove and place on wire cooling rack.
