Sarah Clark, Grade 12

1 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. flour
2 c. beef broth
1 c. milk
2 c. pasta (rotini or penne)

Note: jazz it up at the end with grated cheese or sour cream or cream cheese and chives.

Cook beef thoroughly in large frying pan. Take off of hot burner.
Sprinkle and stir up to 1/4 c. flour to coat the hamburger.
Season! Try adding onion, garlic, salt, pepper or soya sauce.
Add 2 c. beef broth and 1 c. milk. Stir well and mixture should start to thicken.
Add pasta and simmer on low heat. If pasta is not cooked through and mixture looks dry, add more broth until pasta is cooked.
Keep covered, stirring every 5 minutes.
Serve with vegetables.
