3/4 C milk
3 Tbsp sugar
4 tsp salt
1/3 C margarine or shortening
1 1/2 C warm water
2 pkgs yeast (dry)
4 1/2 C un-sifted wheat flour
2 3/4 C un-sifted white flour

Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk. Sir in sugar, salt, shortening. Cool until lukewarm. Measure warm water in bowl, sprinkle yeast into it. Stir until dissolved. Stir lukewarm milk mixture in. Add 2 C wheat flour and 2 C white flour. Beat until smooth. Add rest of flour and make soft dough. Turn out on floured board and knead (8 or 10 min). Put in greased bowl, grease top cover and let rise in warm place until double in bulk, about 1 hour. Punch down and form into buns. Grease tops cover and let rise in warm place, about 1 hour or double in bulk. Bake in 400º F oven. Remove from pans and cool.
