1 (10 ounce) dates
¾ cup sugar
1 cup walnuts
4¾ cup flour
½ tsp salt
½ tsp baking soda
2 cups packed brown sugar
1 cup butter (no substitute)
3 large eggs

Directions:
Directions:
1. In pan, heat dates, sugar, ¾ cup water for 5 minutes. Let cool. When done, add ⅓ cup nuts.
2. Combine flour, salt, and baking soda.
3. Combine sugar, butter, mix. Add eggs and flour.
4. Chill in freezer for 30 minutes.
5. Rollout, spread with date mix.
6. Chill overnight for easy cutting.
7. Bake at 400ºF for 10-12 minutes.
