2- 8 count pkgs crescent rolls
sweet potatoes

Glaze:
2 c sugar
2 c water
2 sticks butter
½ tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cook the sweet potatoes, let cool then peel. Cut sweet potatoes into slices and cut in half. Unroll the crescent rolls and separate into triangles. Wrap the halved sweet potato slice in one crescent roll triangle, making sure to press the edges closed. Place into 9x13 baking dish.

In a sauce pan, combine sugar, water and butter. Heat until everything is dissolved. Add vanilla. Pour the sugar mixture over the dumplings.

Bake at 350º for 40-45 minutes, until the crescent rolls are golden brown.

Remove from oven and sprinkle with cinnamon if desired. Let cool for approximately 30 minutes so the sugar mixture isn't soupy when served.
