½ c. unsalted butter, softened
1½ tsp. vanilla extract
2 c. powdered sugar
2 Tbs. milk

Directions:

1. Cream room temperature butter with a hand mixer or wooden spoon until smooth and fluffy. Gradually beat in powdered sugar until fully incorporated. Beat in vanilla extract.
2. Pour in milk and beat for an additional 3-4 minutes. Add food coloring if desired and beat for thirty seconds until smooth or desired color is reached.
