2½ c. flour
1½ c. powdered sugar
¼ tsp. salt
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
½ lb. butter, softened
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Milk (if needed)

Frosting:
⅓ c. butter
3 c. powdered sugar
1½ tsp. vanilla
3 Tbs. milk (add more if needed)

Directions:
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients together in large bowl. Roll out dough and cut into desired shape. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet and cook at 350º for 12 minutes.
2. In a medium bowl combine all ingredients for icing, then ice cookies.
