1 quart Buttermilk
2 Tbsp Salt
6 Tbsp Shortening
2 pkgs Dry Yeast
6 Tbsp Sugar
1/2 C Warm Water
10 C Flour

Directions:
Directions:
In a saucepan combine buttermilk, salt, and shortening. Bring to steam heat only, then remove from heat and cool. In a 2-cup measuring cup, combine the yeast, sugar, and water.
By the time the milk is cooled, mix in yeast mixture. After mixing together, gradually add 10 cups of flour, a little at a time. Pour out onto floured board and knead for 10 minutes. Let raise for 45 minutes. Put in 3 loaf plans and let rise for 45 minutes. Bake at 375º for 30 minutes.
