1 1/2 C Water
3 Eggs
2 2/3 Tbs Oil
3 Tbsp Sugar
1/4 - 1/3 C Honey
2 1/2 tsp Yeast, dissolved
1 pkg Craisins
4 C Flour
Cornmeal as needed
1 - 2 Egg Whites, beaten

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first 5 ingredients. Add yeast and mix well. Stir in 1 - 2 C flour, then craisins. Stir in the rest of the flour. Knead till smooth. Place in greased bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Let raise until doubled. Punch down and divide into 4 equal pieces. Divide each piece into thirds, and roll them out into long snakes. Using 3 snakes at a time, braid together and place the braid on an ungreased baking sheet sprinkled with cornmeal. Let raise again until double. Brush with egg whites. Bake at 375º for 35 - 45 minutes, or until nicely browned.

I was really surprised to find one of my recipes in Mom's collection. I don't know if she ever made it, but I do know she trimmed down the card to make it fit in her recipe card box, which means some of the instructions were cut off! -- Elizabeth
