1 qt buttermilk, warmed
2 pkgs. active dry yeast (2 T.)
1/4 cup lukewarm water
2 eggs
2 T sugar
2 T oil
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp soda
3 tsp. baking powder
8 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
In large mixing bowl, combine warm buttermilk, eggs, sugar, oil, salt, soda, baking powder and 4 cups of flour.

Soften yeast in 1/4 cup warm water. Add to mixture in bowl. Beat thoroughly until smooth. Add remaining flour to make soft dough. Cover and allow to rise until doubled in bulk.

Punch down and place in refrigerator overnight. Roll, out 1/2-inch thick and cut as desired. Fry in hot deep fat (375º) until golden on both sides. Serve with honey or honey butter.
