3 lbs. chicken breast, boneless
1 sweet onion
1 pkg. smoked sausage
1 pkg. Lipton onion soup mix
1 small can beef broth
Red pepper flakes
Garlic powder
Salt and pepper
Seasoned salt
1 cup water
2 cups Minute White Rice

Directions:
Directions:
Chop onion roughly and put in crockpot
Add small can of beef broth and Lipton onion soup mix.
Stir well and set to low temperature. Season chicken generously with salt, pepper
and garlic powder. Place in crockpot on onions and broth. Add about 10 shakes of
red pepper flakes, Let cook in crock pot for 6 hours on low temperature. After 6 hours, shred chicken. Add water if needed to make a decent amount of broth. Cut up smoked sausage into pieces and add to chicken in crock pot, continue to cook on low. Boil 2 cups of minute rice, and add to crock pot. Cook until all of the chicken, sausage and rice are well combined, about 30 minutes. Add more seasoning as desired.
Serve alone or over cornbread.
