Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 can Cento Tomatoes (or any other crushed tomatoes)
1 red bell pepper, sliced
½ onion
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
Fresh basil
3 garlic cloves

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a large sauce pan, combine tomatoes, whole garlic cloves, onion, and red bell pepper.
2. Cook and simmer over low heat for over an hour, until the tomatoes, garlic, and peppers are soft and mushy.
3. Remove onion, and place the entire mixture into a food mill to create the sauce. If you do not have a food mill, you could use a blender or immersion blender. The blended sauce may be a bit more thick, and you could add additional water if needed.
4. Add in the fresh basil as you are using the food mill or while you are blending. Save additional pieces for on top of your pasta.
5. Add salt and pepper.
