Directions:

In medium saucepan, combine butter and chocolate chips together; cook and stir over very low heat until chips are melted and smooth (Mixture will be stiff). Add sweetened condensed milk; mix well.

Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off. In large bowl combine flour, nuts chocolate mixture and vanilla; mix well. Shape 1 tbsp dough into a ball around each candy kiss, covering completely. Space 1" apart on an ungreased baking sheet.

Bake at 350° for 6-8 minutes. Do not over bake, cookies will be soft and appear shiny but will firm as they cool. Remove from baking sheets and cool completely.

In small saucepan, combine white chocolate baking bar and shortening; cook and stir over low heat until melted and smooth. Drizzle over cooled cookies. Store in tightly sealed container. Makes approximately 5 dozen cookies.

Personal Notes:
Leon bought me a subscription to small Pillsbury cookbooks and every month I would get a new book to look through. This recipe came from one of those books and I make them every year.
