2-9" pie shells, baked and cooled
fresh whole strawberries, hulled and washed
1 1/2 c sugar
1 1/2 c water
3 T strawberry jello (dry from box)
pinch salt
3 T cornstarch
8 oz. carton Cool Whip

Directions:
Directions:
Place ripe strawberries in pie shell pointed side up (about 36 for each pie).
Cook sugar, water and cornstarch on med. heat until thick and clear, about 5-8 min., stirring constantly.
Add jello and salt.
Stir and cool.
Pour mixture over berries in pie shell; chill.
Put Cool Whip on top, store in refrigerator.
