Snickerdoodles Recipe

2 cup flour
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
tsp salt
1 cup butter- softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup raisins
2 T. sugar with 2 tsp cinnamon

1. Preheat oven to 375F
2. In small bowl, sift flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt, set aside.
3. In large bowl, mix butter, sugar, till fluffy. Add eggs, blend well.
4. Add flour mixture, stir in raisins.
5. Scoop dough in 1 inch balls, then roll in sugar and cinnamon mixture. Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
6. Bake 10-12 minutes until edges firm.

Makes 3 dozen
