"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 box brownie mix
1 cups dark chocolate chips
12 oz. cream cheese, softened
cup sugar
cup butter
2 cups frozen whipped topping
cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
1. Prepare an 8" springform pan, otherwise known as a cheesecake pan, by spraying it with cooking oil. Make the brownies. If using homemade brownie recipe, bake for 35-40 minutes. Remove brownies from oven and let them completely cool. For a completely no-bake recipe, buy premade brownies and cut to size of pan and press in.
2. Once brownies are completely cool make the no-bake cheesecake. In a small bowl add chocolate chips and heat in microwave for one minute. Stir. Then heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until chocolate is completely smooth and melted.Set aside to cool.
3. Beat together cream cheese, sugar and butter in a large bowl on medium speed until smooth and creamy. I used my Kitchen Aid mixer for this. Slowly add in cooled and melted chocolate chips, stirring until well blended. Then fold in whipped topping until blended.
4. Add in the mini chocolate chips and stir until incorporated. Spread on top of cooled brownies. Or you can just sprinkle the mini chips on top.
5. Refrigerate until firm and set, 30-60 min.
6. As a garnish, sprinkle with mini chocolate chips, chocolate curls, or drizzle with fudge sauce, whichever hits your fancy at the moment!
*If you're serving a crowd you can make it in a deep Costco (17" x 12") cookie sheet. TyAnne says it works great to use the brownie recipe from "Ready, Set, Go" cookbook. She doubled the brownies and the cream cheese mixture for this.
