2 c. cake flour or 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 eggs
1/2 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup water
4 tablespoons cocoa


Icing
1 pound confectioners sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 tablespoon butter
6 tablespoons milk
4 tablespoons cocoa

Cake
Combine flour, sugar, salt, baking soda, eggs and sour cream. In a small saucepan bring butter, water and cocoa to a boil. Add to flour mixture; mix well and pour in greased 9 x 13 x 2 inch oblong pan. Bake 20 minutes at 350


Icing
Combine confectioner's sugar, vanilla and walnuts. Bring butter, milk and cocoa to a boil. Add at once to sugar mixture. Mix thoroughly. Ice cake while hot

Now this one has a good story behind it. Jackie use to make it and 1 time she made it for our family for something and she was shocked because she said she has never seen a family eat the whole thing. Dad loved it.

When she passed away I told Maureen I never got the recipe from her. You see Jackie always said it was a secret family recipe. Come to find out Maureen told me it was in the Avon cookbook and low and behold it sure was, not hard to find it since it has chocolate all over the page.
