2 C Flour
4 tsp Baking Powder
½ tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Sugar
4 T Shortening
1 C Buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450º.. Grease a 9x9 inch pan.

Mix dry ingredients together. Cut in the shortening with a pastry blender, until crumbly. Add Buttermilk and mix until a soft ball of dough is formed. Place dough on a floured surface and roll out to ½" thick. (Don't handle your dough too much or your biscuits will be tough) Cut biscuits with a round biscuit cutter. Place biscuits in pan with sides of biscuits touching.

Bake for 12-15 minutes.
