2 C Sugar
1 C Butter (Room Temp)
6 Eggs (Separated)
2 tsp Vanilla
3 C Flour
¼ tsp Salt
¼ tsp Baking Soda
1 C Buttermilk

Optional flavorings:
Lemon Extract

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Grease & flour tube or bundt pan.

Mix together dry ingredients & set aside.

Cream Sugar & Butter together with mixer. Add Egg Yolks, one at a time, mixing well. Add Vanilla (or other flavoring) and begin adding the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture alternating with the Buttermilk.

Once mixed, beat the Egg Whites until stiff peak stage and gently fold into cake batter.

Bake for 1 hour & 10 minutes.
