2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp nutmeg
¼ tsp cloves
1 eggs
2 T. butter (softened)
1 cup sugar
1 tsp water
¾ cup currants

Icing:
2 egg whites
2 T. corn syrup
2 cups powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
1. Mix in small bowl flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves.
2. In large bowl mix butter, sugar, until light. Add egg and water, mix well.
3. Add flour mixture.
4. Fold in currants, shape in even ball. Place 2" apart on greased sheet. Bake 10 minutes at 350ºF until edges golden.
5. Dip cookies in icing.


Icing:
1. Mix ingredients well.
