3 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
1½ tsp. baking powder
1⅓ cup margarine or lard
1 egg plus milk to equal ¾ cup
1 tsp. vinegar
9 cups grated apples
1 cup sugar
1½ tsp. cinnamon
3 tbsp. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, salt and baking powder. Cut in lard. Add egg, milk and vinegar. Roll half of pastry into a Costco pan. Spread apples on pastry and sprinkle with cinnamon, sugar and flour. Top with other half of pastry and brush with egg white. Bake at 350 - 375º for 30 - 35 minutes. Glaze while warm with 1½ half cups icing sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla and enough hot water to make very thin.
